With a love of blue plaques, it felt only right to award our garden shed with its very own blue plaque when we gave it a summery update. At the time the choices were limited, either by price or authenticity. Undeterred, we decided to make a plaque at home and after countless trials and experiments, with materials and techniques, the first fun blue plaque had been created.
Our plaques are designed to celebrate all sorts of occasions and they are not always limited to the heritage blue either – for special requests we can make other colours! The plaques are produced by hand from MDF, painted and varnished, with a hook attached, then presented in our jolly London packaging.
Winner of ‘Small Business Sunday’
We were very excited and proud to be a winner of ‘Small Business Sunday’, a Twitter competition that also is known as #SBS. A competition set up by Theo Paphitis – a well known regular on Dragons Den.
Every week, Theo rewards small businesses that tweet him @TheoPaphitis and describe their businesses in one tweet including the all-important hashtag #SBS. Only tweets made in the time slot between 5.00 PM and 7.30 PM each Sunday count!
Every Monday night at 8pm, Theo reviews and chooses his favourite lucky six who are then re-tweeted. As he has nearly half a million followers, this provides a massive boost to the chosen lucky businesses.
